AMAZING SATs MATHEMATICS RESULTS FOR OUTGOING YEAR 9 (2008)
In these tests the general national goal is level 5. Most of the Lubavitch girls of Year 9 reached level 6 or above and 20% of the class achieved level 8, the highest possible grade, which is only achieved by the best students in the UK.
SUMMER 2008 NATIONAL EXAM RESULTS
The girls of the Lubavitch Senior Girls School again achieved exceptional results in the GCSE exams taken at the end of Years 10 and 11, and the GCE Advanced and Advanced Supplementary Level, taken at the end of Year 11 and the one year Sixth Form.
12 pupils in year 11 sat an average of 7 GCSEs, and 9 pupils in year 10 took 2 or 3 subjects. A girl in Year 10, who commutes for 2 and a half hours daily, attained 3 A*s.
10 pupils leaving Year 11 achieved 5 or more A*-C passes at GCSE. Two of them achieved straight A*s and As. At GCSE level there were 62% A* and As. Shaina Charkova, from Riga, Latvia, who joined our school in Year 9, attained 7 passes (AC) at GCSE including an A*, an A, and a B in English.
At A and AS level, 14 girls from years 11 and 12 took between them 21 exams in Maths, Biblical Hebrew and Religious Studies. 15 of the exams were AS level, and 6 were A2. 100% passed, and 85% achieved A or B.
NATIONAL EXAM RESULTS LUBAVITCH SENIOR GIRLS SCHOOL 2007
The school was informed by Edexcel that two pupils taking Science GCSE in 2007 were in the top ten candidates in the whole country. Some 22000 students sat this Science exam round the UK.
Nearly a third of the outgoing Year 11 class of Lubavitch Senior Girls School have certificates for six or more GCSE subjects in which they gained A* or A. This is an outstanding success.
Over 80% of the class have at least five subjects with grades from A* to C, all including Maths and English. This level of attainment for pupils in a non selective school puts the Lubavitch Senior Girls School among the top thirty five state non selective schools in Britain, according to the national GCSE results published by the Independent.
The Year 11 girls took GCSE exams in English, French, Maths, Science, History, Modern Hebrew, Child Development, Religious Studies, adding to the Biblical Hebrew they had previously gained in Year 10.
93.3% of all the marks gained in 2007, including English and Maths, were grades of A*to C, far above the National Average which was 63.3%. More than 60% of the marks were A/A*, for which the National Average was 19.5%.
In Science, 50% of the Lubavitch candidates achieved A or A*, and over 56% achieved A or A* in Maths. These figures are well above the National Average which is, for Science 15.8% A or A* and for Maths 13.8% (for girls, boys tend to achieve lower grades in all subjects).
A AND AS LEVEL RESULTS 2007
The Summer 2007 group took Maths, English and Biblical Hebrew at A level and Religious Studies at AS level. The pass rate was 100% and nearly 80% of the grades were A or B.
