Chabad Celebrates with Scotland's Oldest Man

scotland.jpgRabbi Mendel Jacobs, Glasgow-based director of Outreach Programs at Lubavitch of Scotland, is well accustomed to making house-calls to members of the Scottish Jewish community.

However, a recent house-call was particularly auspicious as it saw him visit Mr. Samuel Latter, a Jewish resident of Edinburgh, who was marking his 106th birthday.

Mr. Latter’s birthday, which he celebrated in good health, also marked the day on which he secured the title of Scotland's oldest man.

During his house-call, Rabbi Jacobs wishes Mr Latter happy birthday and congratulations on the occasion of becoming Scotland’s oldest man. He also put on Tefillin with Mr. Latter.
